Laurence Eusden (baptized Sept. 6, 1688, Spofforth, Yorkshire, Eng.—died Sept. 27, 1730, Coningsby, Lincolnshire) was a British poet who, by flattering the Duke of Newcastle, was made poet laureate in 1718.
