In 1974 golfer Mike Reasor needed to make the cut and finish the four-day Tallahassee Open to be eligible to play in the following week’s event. After two days Reasor made the cut, but before the third day he was thrown from a horse, seriously damaging his shoulder and knee. Still needing to finish, he spent the following two days swinging a 5-iron one-handed with his other hand tucked in his belt to immobilize it. He finished 93-over par, thought to be the worst score recorded at a tournament.
