Dating back to about 1000 BCE, ancient Egyptians used a calendar that had 12 months of 30 days each, making a total of 360 days. After the 12th month, the remaining five days were recognized as the birthdays of the gods Osiris, Horus, Seth, Isis, and Nephthys.
