Amreli, city, southwestern Gujarat state, west-central India. It lies in the southeast-central part of the Kathiawar Peninsula, 125 miles (200 km) southwest of Ahmadabad.

Amreli is primarily a commercial centre. Its industries include the manufacture of khadi (coarse cotton cloth), tanning, silver working, and cotton ginning. The city is served by a railway and an airfield. Chief crops of the surrounding area are millet, peanuts (groundnuts), cotton, wheat, and pulses. Pop. (2001) 90,230; (2011) 105,573.
