Châtillon, town, a southwestern suburb of Paris, in Hauts-de-Seine département, Île-de-France région, north-central France. Several engagements were fought there during the German siege of Paris in 1870–71. The town is a centre for aerospace research. Pop. (1999) 28,622; (2014 est.) 37,089.
