Corozal, town, northern Belize. It is a port on Chetumal Bay of the Caribbean Sea, across from the southeast corner of Mexico. Economic activities include sugar refining, rum distilling, and fish processing. Coconuts, sugar, and corn (maize) are exported. Pop. (2005 est.) 8,800.
