Hove, town and urban area (from 2011 built-up area), unitary authority of Brighton and Hove, historic county of Sussex, England. It lies on the English Channel, adjoining Brighton to the east and Portslade to the west.

Hove grew with Brighton as a seaside resort and residential town in the 19th century. It has excellent road and rail connections with London to the north. Pop. (2001) Hove urban area, 72,335; (2011) Brighton and Hove built-up area subdivision, 229,700.
