Mahamuni
Mahamuni, brass Buddha statue (12 feet high), one of the most sacred images in Myanmar (Burma) and believed to be of great antiquity. Located in the Mahamuni, or Arakan, pagoda south of the city of Mandalay, the statue was among the spoils of war brought from the Arakan Coast in 1784 by King Bodawpaya.
