Rapithwin, in Zoroastrianism, personification of summer and noonday, the time of the midday meal. The New Year festival, Noruz, is celebrated in Rapithwin’s honor as a solemn and joyful celebration of new life in nature and the anticipated resurrection of the body at the end of times.
