hypercatalexis
hypercatalexis, in prosody, the occurrence of an additional syllable at the end of a line of verse after the line is metrically complete; especially (in verse measured by dipodies), the occurrence of a syllable after the last complete dipody. A feminine ending is a form of hypercatalexis.
