P.A. de László
P.A. de László (born April 28, 1869, Budapest—died Nov. 22, 1937, Hampstead, Eng.) was a naturalized British painter who gained international fame for his portraits of eminent men. Among his best known subjects were King Edward VII, Kaiser Wilhelm II, U.S. Presidents Theodore R. Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson, King George V, Pope Leo XIII, and Benito Mussolini. He was awarded gold medals at the Paris Salon in 1899 and 1900.
