Moriguchi, city, Ōsaka fu (urban prefecture), Honshu, Japan. It lies just northeast of Ōsaka city on the southern bank of the Yodo River.
Moriguchi was a prosperous post town on the Ōsaka Highway during the Edo (Tokugawa) period (1603–1867). It rapidly industrialized with the opening of a railway to Ōsaka in 1910. Manufactures include electrical machinery and appliances, textiles, and processed foods. The city is also a residential suburb of the Ōsaka-Kōbe metropolitan area. Pop. (2005) 147,465; (2010) 146,697.
