Poti, city, Georgia, on the Black Sea at the mouth of the Rioni River and on the site of the ancient Greek colony of Phasis. The modern city developed in the 1880s, when an artificial harbour and a rail link were built. The city has a fishing fleet, a fish-processing works, and a dredger-building works. Manufactures include hydraulic and electrical equipment. Pop. (2014) 41,465; (2016 est.) 41,500.
