San Giuliano Terme, town, Toscana (Tuscany) regione, central Italy. The town lies at the foot of Mount Pisano and has been famous since Roman times for its mineral springs (Aquae Calidae Pisanorum). The town was destroyed (1404–06) during battles between the Pisans and the Florentines. It was visited in 1820 by the English poet Percy Bysshe Shelley, who is commemorated in a local plaque and bust. Local products include cotton goods and lamps. Pop. (2006 est.) mun., 30,891.
