Yucatán Current
Yucatán Current, oceanic surface current, the western limb of a clockwise gyre in the eastern Gulf of Mexico flowing from northern Honduras, through the Yucatán Channel, to the central eastern portion of the Gulf. The Yucatán Current is strongest in the summer.
