Birger Magnusson (born 1280—died May 31, 1321) was the king of Sweden (1290–1318), son of Magnus I. He was nominally king under a regency during 1290–1302. He was crowned in 1302 and subsequently engaged in civil war with his brothers (1306–10). Later (1317–18), he had them imprisoned and killed but was himself driven into exile in Denmark (1318).
