U.S. Department of Commerce

U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), executive division of the U.S. federal government responsible for programs and policies relating to international trade, national economic growth, and technological advancement. Established in 1913, it administers the Bureau of the Census, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the Patent and Trademark Office, and U.S. Travel and Tourism Administration (USTTA).
