Donau Glacial Stage
Donau Glacial Stage, major division of early Pleistocene time and deposits in the Alpine region of Europe (the Pleistocene Epoch dates from about 2,600,000 to 11,700 years ago). The Donau Glacial Stage preceded the Donau-Günz Interglacial Stage and is represented by the Donau Gravels. The Donau Glacial is correlated with the Thurnian sequence of marine strata of Great Britain and the Eburon Glacial Stage of northern Europe.
