Calligrammes
Calligrammes, collection of poetry by Guillaume Apollinaire, published in French in 1918. The poems in the collection reflect Apollinaire’s experiences as a soldier during World War I as well as his association with the Parisian art world. The collection is especially noted for its pattern poetry, a verse form in which the words of a poem are arranged so as to form a pattern suggesting the subject of the poem.
