The 10 hands in Texas hold’em, ranked from best to worst:

  • 1. Royal flush: Ace, king, queen, jack, and 10, all in the same suit.
  • 2. Straight flush: Five cards of sequential rank that are all of the same suit.
  • 3. Four of a kind: Four cards of the same rank, plus one of another rank. 
  • 4. Full House: Three cards of the same rank and a pair of another rank.
  • 5. Flush: Five cards of the same suit that are not of sequential rank.
  • 6. Straight: Five cards of sequential order that are not of the same suit.
  • 7. Three of a kind: Three cards of the same rank, plus two that are not a pair. 
  • 8. Two pair: Two differently ranked pairs, each consisting of cards of the same rank.
  • 9. One pair: Two cards of the same rank, plus three cards of unmatched ranks.
  • 10. High card: Any other configuration of cards, ranked from highest to lowest.
