Peace Memorial Park contains a museum and monuments dedicated to those killed by the explosion. Atomic Bomb Dome (Genbaku dōmu), a UNESCO World Heritage site, is the remains of one of the few buildings in Hiroshima not obliterated by the blast. A commemorative service is held at the park every August 6th.
