Leonardo DiCaprio, (born Nov. 11, 1974, Los Angeles, Calif., U.S.), U.S. actor. His notable early film credits included This Boy’s Life (1993), What’s Eating Gilbert Grape (1993), and William Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet (1996). In 1997 he became an international star with the release of Titanic, one of the highest-grossing films ever. DiCaprio subsequently appeared in a number of Martin Scorsese’s films, notably The Aviator (2004), The Departed (2006), and The Wolf of Wall Street (2013). His other credits included Blood Diamond (2006), Revolutionary Road (2008), Inception (2010), J. Edgar (2011), The Revenant (2015; Academy Award), and Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained (2012) and Once Upon a Time...in Hollywood (2019).
