On Croatia's Adriatic coast Griffon vultures spread their huge 2.5-meter wings to catch the thermals. They've spotted something below and are moving down to investigate. Noisy ravens have found a carcass and their excitement has attracted the vultures' attention. Such feasts are increasingly hard to find since modern farmers rarely leave carcasses out to decay. Lack of food has seriously reduced griffon vulture numbers and they're now quite rare. But today this group will feed well.
