Bombo, town located in south-central Uganda. Bombo is situated about 23 miles (37 km) north of Kampala and 58 miles (93 km) south of Nakasongola and is connected by road to both. Located in an agricultural region, it is a centre of trade for cotton, coffee, and bananas. Industries produce plywood and other wood products, footwear, beverages, textiles and apparel, rope and twine, glass, and structural clay products. Pop. (2008 est.) 19,400.
