Hentiyn Mountains, mountain range in north-central Mongolia. Extending northeast from near Ulaanbaatar, the national capital, to the border with Russia, the range is structurally related to the Yablonovy Range, on the Russian side of the frontier; a river valley between the two ranges forms part of the international boundary. The mountains reach an elevation of more than 9,000 feet (2,700 metres).
