Hidaka Range, mountain range, southernmost portion of the Shiribeshi Mountain system, on Hokkaido, Japan, projecting into the Pacific Ocean at Cape Erimo. The mountains are west of the Tokachi Plain. The seaward margin of the range is skirted by marine terraces that reach their maximum height of 1,181 feet (360 m) near Cape Erimo.
The Hidaka Range contains Mount Poroshiri, the highest nonvolcanic mountain in Hokkaido. It rises near the centre of the range to 6,732 feet (2,052 m), near remains of former glaciation.
