Jizera River, tributary of the Elbe (Labe) River in northern Czech Republic. It rises at the southern base of Smrk Mountain on the Polish border, in the Giant (Krkonoše) Mountains, and flows generally south past Turnov and Mladá Boleslav. It reaches the Elbe northeast of Prague after a course of 106 miles (171 km).
