Sagua la Grande, city and port, north-central Cuba. It lies on the Sagua la Grande River 15 miles (24 km) from its mouth.

Its ocean port, La Isabela de Sagua, lies at the mouth of the river, which is navigable as far upstream as Sagua la Grande. Pop. (2002) 41,756; (2011 est.) 40,000.
