Jeune Afrique L’intelligent, weekly newsmagazine in the French language that presents news and interpretative and editorial commentary on Africa, especially French-speaking Africa. It is published in Paris and is the preeminent newsmagazine covering African affairs in French and perhaps in any language. Founded in 1960 by Béchir Ben Yahmed, the magazine, formerly called Jeune Afrique, forms the basis of Parisian publisher Groupe Jeune Afrique. A monthly entitled AM (Afrique Magazine) was founded in 1983.
